Jupiter Conjunct Pluto and Saturn w/ Mars Joining 2020

I want to update you all on the planetary energies, specifically the current Jupiter Conjunct Pluto and Saturn, just in case you haven’t been keeping up. It’s big and has been big for a little while now since Saturn came into conjunction with Pluto this past January for the first time since November of 1982.

Pluto in Capricorn

See, for a while now Pluto has been transiting Capricorn, and is currently at 24 degrees of Capricorn. There are 30 degrees in each sign so Pluto has another 6 degrees before he finally moves into Aquarius at the very end of March. Pluto is all about transformation. Pluto will rock your world. He is a slow-moving planet taking between 12 to 31 years to move through just one zodiac sign. That’s quite a lot of time for transformation.

Because Pluto is so slow-moving his energy tends to have the greatest effects on entire populations of people more so than individuals. However, you will feel the effects of Pluto more personally wherever you find Pluto in your natal chart. Also, since Pluto is in Capricorn, you would look at your chart and see which house Capricorn rules in your natal chart to give you an idea of where in your life you might be feeling the effects of his energy. For example, Capricorn rules my fifth house, so I’m feeling the effects around fifth house stuff; namely self-expression, relations, and children.

Saturn in Capricorn

Saturn rules Capricorn and so he is still currently in his home sign after having met with Pluto directly in January. While they are no longer in exact conjunction, they are not even a phone call away, and both still in Capricorn.  Saturn is the planet of responsibility and restriction. Saturn says “no” and is often not appreciated because of this. However, when you need to buckle down and take responsibility, Saturnine energy will certainly help, whether we like it or not.

Pluto and Saturn Conjunct

With Pluto being the planet of transformation, having this direct conversation with Saturn, the planet of responsibility, many of us, since January, may have begun to feel a strong sense of responsibility, or a need to make a final decision about something important, to set things right.  The energies between Pluto and Saturn can bring about the need to consider how we take responsibility and there may be a need for self-restraint and many of us may have found a need to make reforms in these areas. Looking at our current global situation, we can see how this is playing out. Clearly it’s time for all of us to get serious and demonstrate self-restraint.

Jupiter Conjunct Pluto and Saturn

What makes this an even bigger deal right now is that for a while now not only has Saturn been chatting with Pluto, but Jupiter has also been part of this conversation and will conjunct exactly with Pluto at the end of March, just before moving into Aquarius. Jupiter governs the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces and is not at home at all in Capricorn, which is too bad because Jupiter is associated with good fortune, joy, fun, and is considered a beneficial planet. Even when feeling out of sorts, Jupiter tends to make whatever else is going on, bigger.

Jupiter is also associated with our philosophy and what we believe. With the conjunction of Jupiter to Saturn and Pluto, a major transformation is a very real likelihood. It could come in the form of destruction as transformation often does and we may find ourselves forced by the reality of Saturn to drop beliefs that turn out to be based on something other than reality. The truth of things will be revealed, in any case.

Mars Joins the Conversation

Jupiter will conjunct with Pluto in the next few days, and will be followed by Mars at the new moon in Aries on the 24th. Mars, as you may know, is the god of war. Mars is not known for patience, Mars wants to get things done now. Mars is decisive. Mars will also enter into conversation with Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn right around the spring equinox, which is March 20th.  The equinox is ruled by Aries, and Aries is ruled by Mars, and this is giving Mars plenty of fiery energy as he conjuncts with Pluto on March 22nd. At the same time, Saturn will move into Aquarius and square head-on with Uranus, the planet of revolution, science, and technology over in Taurus. Mars will be joining this conversation too, conjoining Saturn in Aquarius on March 31st.

It Ain’t Over Yet

If you ever stop by my site you know that I have not shared anything related to the current planetary energies, but I must tell you that I have been feeling the effects strongly for at least the past couple of years.  All told, these are strong effects coming from a triple quadruple conjunction the likes of which we have not seen in over 400 years.

And here’s the thing: We are currently experiencing the Pluto Saturn conjunction for the second time this year, the first having happened in January. I want you to know that it’s not over yet. Due to the retrograde movement of the planets, Saturn will move back into Capricorn one more time before finally moving into Aquarius again where he will remain for the foreseeable future. We will be tested again when Saturn brings reality to our doorsteps at the end of 2020. So, if you are feeling it like I am now, be prepared for more of the same.

For Further Studies

Whew! So, that was a lot! I apologize if any of my dates are slightly off. This is A LOT to keep track of and I am but a novice in this field. I encourage you to do your own research. Below are some of my favorite channels for astrological information.

I highly recommend that you start with this podcast from Molly McCord specifically discussing the Saturn Pluto conjunction. You will note that she broadcast this at the end of 2018, knowing what was coming and how important it would be.

Another channel I highly recommend is Nightlight Astrology with Adam Elenbaas. I encourage you to watch the episode on the Saturn Pluto Mars conjunction.

Some of you may also enjoy this presentation from The Leo King on the major conjunction happening now between Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, and Mars. He begins with a historical perspective and I find him to be highly intuitive (like, scarily so, at times) in his personal readings as well as the more global readings. He gets a little excited at times so just know that going in. This presentation was broadcast at the end of 2017 in preparation for the current times.
